The East Lansdowne Fire Company was dispatched for the building response in the unit block of Beverly Ave. Engine 24, under the command of Assistant Chief TreDenick, arrived on location to find a 2 story single family dwelling, 20x30, with smoke showing from the rear of the property. Engine 24 advanced a 200' 1 3/4" attack line to the rear and found a basement fire. Engine 16 secured a second water supply and advanced a 1 3/4" attack line to the first floor. Truck 19 laddered, searched, and vented the property. The fire was held to the room of origin with smoke damage throughout the property. Crews were in service for just under an hour. The ELFD was assisted by the Yeadon, Lansdowne, Millbourne, Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company (RIT and manpower) and Delaware County Memorial Hospital Paramedics. No injuries were reported.
